This iconic ingredient was made in Grasse to highlight the most sophisticated and sensual facets of its woody character, both dark and deep. «This heart of patchouli forms the core of the perfume and adds a touch of verticality and style, two signature elements of the tuxedo», explains perfumer Juliette Karagueuzoglou.
Like a shiny satin lapel on the matte powder grain fabric of a tuxedo, the bright bite of black pepper and the touch of freshness of coriander illuminate this dark material. A magnetic gray amber accord evokes the naked skin under the suit.
A seductive and incisive fragrance, for people who are not afraid to adopt the power of sharp YSL silhouettes.
INSPIRATION
Of all the models by Monsieur Saint Laurent, this one is certainly the most iconic. Presented on the occasion of its Fall/Winter 1966 collection, the tuxedo has revisited a very symbolic outfit of the men’s wardrobe: the jacket once worn to preserve gentlemen’s costumes from the smell of cigars.
Adapting its sharp lines to the feminine silhouettes, M. Saint Laurent creates the first women’s evening suit pants. Launched in the ready-to-wear line SAINT LAURENT rive gauche, the model is a great success.
